May 1, 2019 visatopia
Visatopia is expanding into Silicon Valley. Our fourth branch office, located at 19925 Stevens Creek Blvd., Suite 100, Cupertino, CA 95014-2358 opens on May 1, 2019. Cupertino is a city between Palo Alto, where Stanford University is located, and San Jose, known as the capital of Silicon Valley. After more than a decade of practice in Southern California, it’s time for us to serve our clients in Silicon Valley.
Our decision to expand into Silicon Valley is a strategic one based on several reasons:
First, Silicon Valley is a global center of innovation, high-technology, and social media. Silicon Valley is now home to many of the world’s largest high-tech corporations, including the headquarters of 39 businesses in the Fortune 1000, and thousands of startup companies. Major global companies include Apple, Alphabet (formerly Google), eBay, Facebook, HP, Intel, Netflix, Oracle, Salesforce, Tesla, Visa, LinkedIn, Twitter and Uber. Silicon Valley has the highest average high-tech salary in the United States at $144,800. It offers more than a quarter million of high-tech jobs and attracts worldwide elites to settle down there. We hope to assist more young people realize their Silicon Valley dream with our working visa and employment-based immigration service.
Second, among 50 of the most populous cities in the United States, San Francisco and San Jose were declared the top 1 and top 4 friendliest city for immigrants. Northern California has a history of attracting foreign immigrants which can be traced back to California Gold Rush era. Currently, more than one third of the population in Northern California is Asian. San Francisco has the highest percentage of residents of Chinese descent of any major U.S. city. There are more than 170 thousand Chinese American in San Francisco. We believe it is Visatopia’s obligation to provide existing community of immigrants with our services.
Third, Northern California’s Mediterranean climate, natural beauty, and world best education system are attractive for new immigrants. Northern California has warm or mild climate. Summers are mild along the coast and generally warm and dry. The temperature range is 90s to 50s. Fog occurs normally in the west and coast, especially in the summer, creating some of the coolest summer conditions in North America. While winters are cool and usually wet, the high temperatures range from 50s to 30s. In Northern California, the outdoor recreation and sports are almost limitless. A large group of National Parks, including the best-known Yosemite National Park, provide residents and visitors places for skiing, hiking, fishing, sailing, camping and spending happy times with family and friends. Education is the key to immigrants. Northern California hosts a number of world-renowned universities including Stanford University and University of California, Berkeley. Among 14 thousand U.S. school districts, ones in Northern California are top ranked. Indeed, Palo Alto Unified School District ranks 12 Best School District in America.
Lastly, our existing customers in Silicon Valley would welcome our new office. An office set up there will help them and our attorneys meet in person.
For all these reasons, we decided to take our expertise 350 miles north to Silicon Valley. While this may seem like a small step, it has taken us almost two years to make it happen. Even after resolving many issues, we are still faced with tons of unanswered questions, such as how to build trust in Silicon Valley community? How to leverage our existing expertise and reputation built Southern California? How to arrange our lawyers’ travel? How to hire local capable lawyers? But when we look at Visatopia’s mission again, we firmly believe that nothing should get in the way of our clients reaching their utopia. It is because of our commitment to our clients’ immigration success and provision of our all-encompassing services that we have taken on the obligation to provide service wherever our clients need us.
