Visa for Spouses and Children of Permanent Residents Becomes Current in August!

The August visa bulletin has great news for spouses and children of permanent residents. Family-sponsored 2A category visa will become current on August 1, 2013.

Spouses and children of permanent residents (green card holders) should start preparing their I-485 now. This includes those who already have their I-130 petition approved or whose I-130 petitions are pending. For permanent residents who were planning to sponsor their spouses or children, they can file I-130 and I-485 concurrently.
